About Lily Bend Farm
Lily Bend Farm has been our home since 2021. What originally drew us to Lily Bend Farm, is the gentle arcing river bed that runs through the property. This place is a sanctuary to birds and wildlife. We love to see red wing blackbirds singing in the cattails, or the mallards splashing in our seasonal pond. In the spring time more robins than we can count nest in the cottonwoods and occasionally we hear the call of a lone pheasant hidden in the tall grasses. The gardens of produce and flowers are nestled against the old river bend, nourished by decades of sediment deposits and fallen leaves from the canopy above. This is a place where time is tracked in sunrises and sunsets and by the changing of the leaves on the trees.
Mission
We are growing gardens and community through sustainable practices, shared harvests, and the simple joy of local food.
Our Practices
We believe in growing crops in healthy soil and raising livestock on pasture. We add nutrients to our soil through cover crops, natural composts and organic fertilizers. We NEVER use synthetic fertilizers or chemicals.
